Have I ever said how much I love websites like eBay and Craigslist? Really, those who are patient and persistent can find some amazingly sweet deals on the interwebz.

I decided I wanted to start looking for an older used Mac again. I narrowed it down to an iMac G4 or G5 or a PPC Mac Mini (call me old fashioned, I like those old PPC chips).

I have been using Windows 7 Ultimate RTM (Release To Manufacturing) on my ASUS 900HA netbook for about a week now. I must say, I'm impressed.

The specs of my netbook are modest - Intel Atom 1.6 GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, Intel Graphics - but Windows 7 seems to run better on my netbook than Windows XP did overall.

Some things I've noticed:

Family friends of ours said they were having some issues with their computer sometimes slowing down and generally acting funky, so I offered to go over and take a look.

They were running Vista ("well there's yer problem right there!"), had Norton 360 running with an up-to-date subscription, and a pretty decent computer (an HP tower with an Athlon X2 "Live!" 2.X GHz and 2GB RAM).
