A Blast from the Computer Past

I seem to be on a "retro kick", lately. I saw this article on Ars Technica about Vintage Computer Fest and was utterly fascinated by the pics and descriptions of all those ancient computers. It's amazing how technology has progressed over just a few decades.
The first computer I ever owned was a 286 some guy didn't want anymore. It had an orange and black monochrome screen, and I remember it having Word and a couple other apps on it. That was back in the early 90's.
What are some of your computer memories and experiences from days past?

I remember my mom borrowing
I remember my mom borrowing our neighbor's old Toshiba 486 laptop with the monochrome orange LCD, Windows 3.1, and AOL 3.0. That right there set it off for our internet experience, leading up to today :D
Then I coulda swore my aunt had a Packard Bell with a 486 and Windows 3.1. She let me play Jacks on it and, being the curious little shit I was, I flipped the switch off in the back then back on and thought I broke it *cue slowly walking away*
